What precautions should be taken when using plastic pallets?
First, it's important to know the load-bearing capacity of plastic pallets. For example, a lighter mesh nine-legged plastic pallet has a moving load capacity of up to 500 kg. Therefore, when loading and packing goods, do not exceed 500 kg. Similarly, a three-tiered plastic pallet with built-in steel pipes has a shelf load capacity of 1000 kg, so the loaded goods should not exceed 1000 kg.
Second, the shape of the plastic pallet should be considered for different environments. For example, if it's to be used on shelves, use three-tiered, grid-shaped, or double-sided plastic pallets; do not use nine-legged plastic pallets.
When using plastic pallets, forklifts should not directly impact them. Never push loaded plastic pallets into the truck for ease of loading. A single pallet is already heavy, and the weight of multiple pallets is considerable. The thickness of the plastic pallet walls cannot withstand such forklift impacts. Therefore, to extend the lifespan of plastic pallets, this improper usage must be avoided.
Furthermore, when loading goods, the surface of the plastic pallet must be subjected to even stress, without any one point bearing excessive pressure while other areas are unaffected. Even stress distribution prevents the plastic pallet from tipping over due to uneven stress during forklift movement, and also prevents localized damage caused by excessive pressure on one point.
